The Nebraska Interscholastic Cycling League is run by a community of volunteers. There are a number of ways you can donate your time to aid in the success of youth cycling in Nebraska!

We are actively recruiting passionate volunteers who want to get #morekidsonbikes. Please click the button below to take a quick survey to tell us who you are and how you would most likely assist us. We will be in contact soon. Thank you for your interest!

There are many opportunities to plug in. See the list below for our immediate needs:

  • Race Director – The Race Director is responsible for the overall production of League races. He or she will be the face of the race and direct the race weekend itself and may be involved in pre-race planning and post race follow-up. On the race weekend the Race Director is responsible for the entirety of the race focusing on riders and coaches and overseeing the Operations Manager. The Race Director is the official League contact for coaches at the race keeping them notified on any updates. Race Director is involved in any scoring petition decisions and/or other race day decisions governed by the handbook.
  • Operations Manager – The Operations Manager is responsible for the physical production of League races. Just as the Race Director is the face of the race and responsible overall, the Operations Manager is getting everything done. The Ops Manager manages the race weekend itself and may be involved in pre-race planning and post race follow-up.  On the race weekend the Operations Manager supports the Race Director by managing race staff and volunteers as they set-up and run the race.
  • Race Crew – Want to help put on the races? Check out this list of Job Descriptions and let us know which one speaks to you. No experience necessary. As long as you’re stoked on getting more kids on bikes and want to be involved on the race weekends, we want to hear from you.
  • Fundraising – There are many people and organizations in Nebraska who would love to see more kids outside and on bikes. We need a couple of individuals to nurture relationships with these supporters & donors. We are seeking a Foundation Grant Writer and a Corporate Sponsorship & Donor Relations Lead.

If you have any questions about volunteer positions, or have another idea on how to get involved, contact Ken Theis, League Director ken@nebraskamtb.org.
